Not Europe again! Why?
Well, the main anchor was my annual DPO trip. This year it's being held from November 13-15, 2026, but still in Eindhoven, Netherlands.
Then I figured I'd see Peter, my BFF, in Vienna. Of course a bit of London didn't hurt anyone. Could I fly to London for a few days, then Eindhoven, then Vienna, then London again? Or maybe I could do something else?
Perhaps I could give Paris another chance! Read my Substack Why Paris? When it's published, I'll put the link here!

| Summary |
Friday, November 6-7, 2026: Trip Day 0-1: Atlanta -> Paris
Flight from Atlanta to Paris
Saturday, November 7, 2026: Trip Day 1: Paris Day 1
Arrive at Charles de Gaulle Airport, grab a taxi to my Airbnb near Montmartre, and settle into my Paris headquarters. Then it's off to Carette at Trocadéro for the first stop on The Great Scrambled Egg Hunt of 2026! Finally, a quick visit to Carrefour across the street to stock up on essentials before calling it a day.
Sunday, November 8, 2026: Trip Day 2: Paris Day 2
Start the day with a return to Novotel Gare de Lyon, where I had the best scrambled eggs of my life in 2019. Will they live up to the memory? The Great Scrambled Egg Hunt continues! Then explore the treasures and oddities of the Marché d'Aligre flea market before heading to the Musée de la Magie for an afternoon of magic and mystery. Next, a long walk to the Arc de Triomphe, where 284 steps await me and, hopefully, spectacular nighttime views of Paris. Finally, reward myself with a croque-madame and crème brûlée at L'Arc Café. A little history, a little magic, and a whole lot of eating!
Monday, November 9, 2026: Trip Day 3: Paris Day 3
Another day, another scrambled egg investigation! Start with breakfast at Terminus Nord before stepping back in time on the Paris Time Machine: Hidden Gems Walking Tour, exploring the fascinating history and hidden corners of the city. Then it's back to my Paris headquarters for a little relaxation and leftover croque-madame. In the afternoon, trade sightseeing for strikes and flippers at La Tête dans les Nuages, because what's a European vacation without a little bowling and pinball? Finally, dive into the darker side of Paris with an evening tour of murder, mystery, legends, and conspiracies. From scrambled eggs to sinister secrets, with a few strikes in between!
Tuesday, November 10, 2026: Trip Day 4: Paris Day 4
Start the morning in Montmartre with a delicious walking food tour featuring croissants, pastries, chocolate, coffee, and a few hidden Parisian treasures. Then it's back to my Paris headquarters for a little relaxation before heading underground to explore the Musée des Égouts de Paris. Yes, I'm voluntarily visiting the Paris sewers! Ted Lasso would be proud! After emerging from the depths, it's time for a traditional French dinner at Bouillon Pigalle, where caramelized pork hock and rice pudding with salted butter caramel await. Finally, back to headquarters to pack for tomorrow's journey to Rotterdam. From heavenly pastries to underground sewage, Paris certainly knows how to offer a well-rounded experience!
Wed, November 11, 2026: Trip Day 5 C: Rotterdam -> Schiphol (Amsterdam Airport)
